Beth Bertram
Hi, my name is Beth Bertram. I’m a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and Program Manager at Simply Teens.
I’m passionate about creating a safe, welcoming space where all clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. My approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, authenticity, and respect for each client’s unique experience. I affirm and celebrate all identities.
I earned my bachelor’s degree from Anderson University (Indiana) and began my professional career at a Child Advocacy Center, where I worked as a forensic interviewer and victim advocate. In this role, I worked closely with children and families navigating investigations of abuse and neglect.
I later earned my master’s degree from Indiana University. Following graduation, I worked as an intensive in-home therapist supporting families involved with the juvenile justice system or child protective services. Most recently, I have worked as an outpatient therapist serving children, teens, and young adults. In this role, I was also intensively trained as a Dialectical Behavior therapist, working with individual DBT clients and leading multifamily DBT groups.
I have training and experience in several evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Family Centered Treatment (FCT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), mindfulness practice, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I tailor these approaches to support clients with a variety of diagnoses and concerns including anger, anxiety, communication, depression, domestic violence, emotion regulation, life transitions, and PTSD.
