Austin Pearce

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHC-A) working with Simply Teens Outpatient. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and I worked in Social Services for 1.5 years before earning my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at North Carolina State University. I have prior experience working in Private Practice with Families, Adults and Teenagers. My primary areas of focus are trauma, life transitions and relationship difficulties. I welcome any and all in to sessions, and appreciate the uniqueness of every client. I believe that every person is the expert in their own lives and I must learn from them to gain insight of perspective, thoughts and feelings. I strive to create an affirming, positive and non-judgmental space to encourage progress for each session. I utilize a blend of Client-Centered, Solution-Focused and Gestalt theories and techniques along with other skills to generate healthy, comfortable growth! I am always learning about new techniques and skills to be able to serve more members of the community.
